Amnion Membrane Preservation: SKYE’s HydroTek preservation does not use chemicals or high heat radiation in the preservation process. Most companies including Bio-Tissue and their Amniograft are cryopreserved amniotic membrane. Cryopreservation if used with DMSO as a economical preservative has been shown to kill cells.   HydroTek preservation takes hours to complete!   Other company’s processes take minutes.

Only amnion allograft that is Omni Directional We only work with amnion ocular allografts that are omni-directional for superior allograft handling and absorption.  Ophthalmic amnion products are uni-directional and require a identification process creating clinical inefficiencies, costs, and potential for loss of sterility from additional processes.  In addition, Bio-Tissue products require a dry surgical sponge to detect the treatment side of the ophthalmic allograft.
